Bad Norwegian - Norway
Bad Norwegian is a skincare range for real men: effective, practical and reduced to the essentials. The products are being developed by Marius Kristiansen, an ex-NATO soldier and the designer Castilñano Simoons in Oslo. Each one of their products made in Norway reflects typical Scandinavian values: natural, honest, simple and functional in design.
Marius was inspired with the idea for Bad Norwegian on a trip to South Africa: searching for a cream to restore his sunburnt, stressed-out skin, he found mostly perfumed products in pastel colours, which seemed aimed almost exclusively at female customers. Back home, he set to work with fellow designer Castilñano to change that and develop a men's skin care line for the typical Norwegian male: Bad Norwegian was born.
Bad Norwegian for the best start to the morning
Even if the name suggests a real bad boy image, the products are actually quite tame: vegan, gentle on the skin and made from natural ingredients. The duo prefer to test their care products on friends and volunteers instead of animals until they are satisfied with the result. This makes Bad Norwegian one of the few brands where customers can contribute to the development of the products. Marius and Castilñano spend a lot of time getting their products just right - the development process can take up to a year.
The products are designed for simple and efficient daily body care: from fragrance-free creams which are absorbed quickly and act immediately to the shower gel, which provides an extra dose of menthol for a fresh kick in the morning. The simple functionality is reflected not only in the names of the products (" Wash Face", "Roll Deo", " Oil Beard" etc.) but also in the packaging: sleek, black and functional. The special, airtight design of the face cream packaging and beard oil dispenser ensures a long shelf life for the products: the content can be dosed perfectly without bacteria getting into the container so that preservatives are not needed.
