Beard oils and beard balms are valuable care products that impart a healthy shine to long and full beard hair. They also soften the beard and make combing, blow drying and styling more manageable. Both beard oil and beard balm are available in different versions with various pleasant aromas and natural, skin-friendly ingredients.
When using a rich beard oil, a few drops are sufficient; the optimum amount will of course vary from beard to beard. While a smart three-day beard will be well supplied with a maximum of three drops of oil, a splendid beard may need a few drops more. Every beard wearer is advised to carefully adjust the perfect dose for their own beard. Since an overdose of oil may lead to an undesirable greasy shine, the motto is: less is more!
To use, a few drops of oil are instilled into the hollow of the hand and rubbed between the fingers, the stroked gently through the beard and massaged into the underlying facial skin. For an absolutely uniform distribution of a beard oil, a beard brush or comb should now be used to distribute it evenly throughout the length of the beard hair from facial skin to hair ends. Intensity and duration of treatment are entirely up to your personal taste.
Beard Balm nourishes whiskers and skin and gives extra body to the beard. It is softer than a beard pomade but, thanks to the oils it contains, has a greater care effect. To use Beard Balm, rub it between your hands and massage into the beard evenly and with gentle movements. Here, the balm quickly warms up and can be smoothly incorporated into the hair. This effect can be enhanced by using a heat gun.
Again, it is advisable to start with small amounts to find out the appropriate dosage for your own beard. Finally, the beard should be thoroughly combed to distribute the care product evenly and to capture every stray hair. The balm not only gives the beard a superb brilliance but simultaneously protects it from cold and damp.
