Beard wash Beard wash

There are many factors that can spoil the appearance your magnificent beard. These include sweat, dirt and dust but culinary delights may also leave their traces, in spite of all precautions. Residues of care products like facial oil, beard balm or beard wax must be removed before the next styling and grooming session can begin. Time for a professional beard cleanser!

What you should never do is just to reach for the shower gel: just like the hair on the head, your whiskers need special care. Shower gel strips the beard of moisture and tallow, which is formed by the skin as a natural lubricant. To ensure that your beard does not dry out, you need a special cleanser or a beard shampoo.

Unlike an ordinary shampoo, beard shampoo contains ingredients that not only nourish the hair but also have a calming effect on the facial skin. Only the excess natural sebum is removed, while other residues are washed out completely. Beard shampoos and cleansers contain essential oils that lend your beard a pleasing fragrance: choose fragrances that complement the scents of your other care products. You should shampoo approximately two to three times a week; in between, it is enough to wash the beard with warm water. By using a beard cleanser, you can prevent skin problems which can lead to annoying beard itching.

After shampooing the beard, you should maintain the facial skin and whiskers: it is best to use a beard conditioner. Its valuable ingredients soothe irritated skin and make your beard soft and supple. After washing, simply massage a small amount into the still wet whiskers and the underlying skin.
